Impact of radiogenic helium production on the behaviour of containment matrices
Status
| Terminated |
- Planned from March 2005 till September 2006 |
Goals
The aim of this joint research project is to examine the effects of alpha decay (of actinides) on the long-term properties of containment matrices (zirconolite, monazite-branbantite solid solution, PDT, britholite, and borosilicate glasses).
Expected results
The results of this joint research project will be useful for the operational modelling of long-term storage and disposal of nuclear waste.
